Juventus will be without playmaker Andrea Pirlo for at least a month, and possibly as long as two months. The club confirmed that he has suffered damage to his right MCL. Pirlo was substituted after just 15 minutes in Juventus' match against Udinese on Sunday.
Andrea Pirlo out at least a month with knee injury
Juventus will be without their star playmaker until 2014. He could return to action as early as January, but shouldn’t miss more than two months.

The injury means that Pirlo will miss Juve's crucial Champions League clash with Galatasaray on Dec. 10. He's also likely to be unavailable on Jan. 6 when Juventus host AS Roma, who sit just three points behind them in Serie A.
Juventus have experimented with four midfielder formations and have plenty of bodies to replace Pirlo, but no one who replicates his style of play. The team is built around his strengths and weaknesses, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Antonio Conte shift his tactics dramatically in Pirlo's absence. However, Juventus has stuck with their regular 3-5-2 formation in the two Serie A games that Pirlo has missed this season. They came out 1-0 winners in both games, against Torino and Parma.
