Premier League scores: Hull’s domination the story in Week 19’s midday games

Fulham. What are you doing. Stop.

Richard Sellers

The various races in the Premier League saw little to no movement on Saturday. The big relegation battlers all lost -- with Fulham superlosing -- while top four and title contenders won. Mid-table sides Aston Villa and Swansea looked very mid-tableish in their draw.

Aston Villa 1-1 Swansea City

Gabriel Agbonlahor put Villa ahead after just seven minutes with a tidy one-on-one finish, but Swansea fought back through Roland Lamah, who scored before halftime. Even though Swansea out-shot Villa 17-7 and had 73 percent of the possession, they couldn’t create another goal. Defending deep and playing on the counter against possession teams has been Villa’s M.O. this year, so both teams will probably be satisfied with a draw.

Hull City 6-0 Fulham

Rene Meulensteen will have some questions to answer after this one. Incredibly, all six goals came in the second half, and only one came from a striker -- substitute Matty Fryatt's goal. Robert Koren scored a brace, while the other three goals were scored by George Boyd, Ahmed Elmohamady and Tom Huddlestone, who got a haircut after ending a 52-game scoring drought.

This beating came after Fulham hired Alan Curbishley as technical director. Coincidence ... or conspiracy?!?
