Liverpool vs. Norwich City: Preview and TV schedule

After being on the receiving end of a shock defeat to Hull on the weekend, Liverpool should bounce back against Norwich on Wednesday.

Matthew Lewis

Liverpool's dream start to the season has come to a crashing end in recent weeks, with the Reds having only won one of their last four matches. After a shock 3-1 defeat to Hull City on the weekend they've fallen to fourth place, and are now seven points adrift of league leaders Arsenal. Norwich City are their opponents on Wednesday, and the hosts really ought to be able to return to winning ways.

The Canaries have managed to win two of their last three matches -- and, given their struggles so far this season, it’s just as well they did. Chris Hughton’s side are now four points above the relegation zone, though have been far from convincing this campaign. They’ve got the second-worst away record in the Premier League, and it’s hard to see them picking anything up at Anfield on Wednesday.

However, Liverpool will be without the in-form Daniel Sturridge through injury, while José Enrique and Sebastián Coates are also sidelined with knee problems. A hip injury means Kolo Touré is an early doubt. For Norwich, Alexander Tettey, Elliott Bennett, Robert Snodgrass, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Mark Bunn and Anthony Pilkington make up a length injury list.

Liverpool injuries and suspensions

Out: Daniel Sturridge (ankle), José Enrique (knee), Sebastián Coates (knee). In doubt: Kolo Touré (hip).

Norwich City injuries and suspensions

Out: Alexander Tettey (ankle), Elliott Bennett (knee), Robert Snodgrass (knee), Ricky van Wolfswinkel (ankle), Mark Bunn (ankle), Anthony Pilkington (hamstring). In doubt: None.
