Southampton vs. Manchester City: Preview and TV schedule

Southampton will look to end their run of three straight defeats this weekend. The bad news: Manchester City are coming to town.

Southampton have lost their last three Premier League matches after a brilliant start to the season, and have now dropped down to eighth in the table. Mauricio Pochettino's side will look to get back to winning ways this season, though the small obstacle of an ever-improving Manchester City stand in their way.

City have charged up to third after winning three on the bounce, and are looking ever more promising under Manuel Pellegrini. However, Southampton can find some comfort in the Citizen's comparatively awful record away from the Etihad so far this season, with their nervy 3-2 win against West Bromwich Albion in midweek only their second Premier League victory on the road.

Unfortunately the Saints have a string of absentees and injury doubts, with Paulo Gazzaniga set to start in goal with both Artur Boruc and Kelvin Davies unavailable. Morgan Schneiderlin and Gastón Ramírez are hoping to shake off injury and illness to be available. For City, Matija Nastasić, David Silva and Stevan Jovetić are sidelined through injury.

Southampton injuries and suspensions
