Olimpic vs. Real Madrid: Final score 0-0, Los Blancos finishing fails them in the first leg

Real Madrid’s finishing let them down as they were held to a scoreless draw in their Copa del Rey Round of 32 first leg match.

Real Madrid and Olimpic will head to the second leg at the Bernabéu with their two-legged Copa del Rey Round of 32 tie scoreless. Madrid certainly had the lion share of chances to grab a hatful of goals but their finishing was awful and they’ll have to get things done at home instead.

There's not much to day about the first half other than Real Madrid didn't appear to be completely interested and the few chances they managed to create were dealt with effectively by Olimpic goalkeeper Francis.

Isco got an excellent chance to break the deadlock in the 56th minute after running on to an through ball on the right edge of the box. A combination of the ball bouncing up and an excellent recovery from defender Peralta Kike Alcázar denied Isco a clean shot.

Isco generated another chance in the 63rd minute, making a zig-zagging run through the midfield before feeding a through ball to Álvaro Morata. The young striker had an angle and most of the net open but his shot rolled wide of the far post.

Sticking with the consistent trend of the day, Karim Benzema missed an excellent chance in the 80th minute, sending his shot wide of the post.
