Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake played 90 minutes, but they still have nothing to separate them in the MLS Cup final. Alvaro Saborio put the visitors in front with a great chest down of a Kyle Beckerman pass and rocket that beat Jimmy Nielsen, but Aurelien Collin answered when he skied to meet a corner kick and head home the equalizer.
Sporting KC vs. Real Salt Lake, 2013 MLS Cup: Final heading to extra time
The match has been extremely physical, which hasn’t made for the prettiest soccer, but it’s been plenty entertaining. There have been great moments, chances and with MLS’s ultimate prize on the line, drama.
With the match heading to extra time, things only figure to get crazier, more physical and more dramatic. With great individuals on each side, like Saborio, Javier Morales and Graham Zusi, this match could turn in one play, or it could go another 30 minutes and into penalty kicks. However it ends, it will be dramatic.
