There's no question that Tottenham have been handed one of the toughest draws on the Europa League Round of 32. Lyon are currently second in Ligue 1 though they're play hasn't been the best the last couple matches. It'll be an excellent test for Spurs and Andre Villas-Boas said as much in the media, making the point that this should be a good test of how ready Spurs are to compete at the next level.
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Olympique Lyonnais: Preview and TV schedule
Tottenham will face an extremely tough Round of 32 tie against Olympique Lyonnais, who currently sit second in Ligue 1

It's generally believed that Lyon boss Remi Garde will tinker with his lineup in an attempt to get his team going again. Yoann Gourcuff, who is having a miserable time of it this season, could get a chance to prove he deserves to be a regular member of the starting XI for Garde.
Villas-Boas is extremely thin up front with only one healthy striker in Emmanuel Adebayor. If anything happens to him, AVB may have to start improvising a bit. There will be one major lineup change for Spurs as Brad Friedel will start in goal over regular first choice Hugo Lloris.
