Inter Milan have been dealt a blow with the news that Diego Milito will be out for the rest of the season

The news is a bad blow to Inter’s hopes for the season, as it is a position they are light in and Milito had been one of their most important players. The timing of the injury will further compound the problem, since it comes not long after the close of the January transfer window, so no replacement can be brought in.
Not only have Inter been struggling and reliant on Milito, but they have the derby against AC Milan in just ten days time.
Milito signed for Inter in 2009 and was instrumental to leading the club to a historic treble in his debut season. His goalscoring form had dipped somewhat this year, although he had still managed to bag a respectable 9 goals in 20 appearances in the Serie A.
