Barcelona will be without their influential midfield playmaker Xavi Hernandez for the next two weeks after he was diagnosed with a minor hamstring injury. Xavi injured the hamstring at some point during Barca's 1-1 draw with Valencia on Sunday, but remained on the pitch until being subbed out in stoppage time of the second half.
Xavi injury: Barcelona midfielder hurts hamstring, out two weeks
Barcelona’s veteran midfielder will miss two weeks of action after suffering a minor tear in his right hamstring in the team’s draw against Valencia on Sunday

Barcelona confirmed the injury on their website saying that tests on the midfielder’s hamstring revealed a tear in the muscle which will keep Xaxi sidelined for at least 15 days.
Xavi has withdrawn from Spain's friendly against Uruguay in Qatar on Wednesday and will miss Barcelona's next two upcoming league matches against Getafe and Granada. His availability for Barca's Champions League Round of 16 first leg against AC Milan on February 20th is still up in the air, but he could be back in time to play.
While Barca will no doubt miss Xavi, they’ll need his services much more later in the month with the aforementioned Champions League and a second leg Copa del Rey match against Real Madrid looming.
