Mexico vs. Jamaica video preview: El Tri should crush Reggae Boyz

Mexico’s foreign-based stars have joined an impressive stable of domestically-based talent for their World Cup qualifier against Jamaica, where they’re heavy favorites.

Mexico are the best team in CONCACAF and if you think otherwise you are wrong. There is no argument for any other team than Mexico they are so much better than the rest of the region and what’s scary is that they may be getting better.

While El Tri have bludgeoned CONCACAF for two years, they have hardly been a team without flaws. They had yet to sort out their central midfield in the post-Gerardo Torrad and Israel Castro, but Carlos Salcido and Hector Herrera were fantastic last week against Denmark and may have solved that problem. Meanwhile, Jose "Chepo" Manuel de la Torre has finally moved past the aging back line that made them leaky in defense and has turned to a slew of excellent young defenders that have taken the defense to another level.

Toss those improvements around Javier Hernandez, Giovani dos Santos and Andres Guardado, who is in the form of his life, and Mexico might be better than ever before.

Mexico's improvement is bad news for all of CONCACAF, but right now it's bad news for Jamaica. The Reggae Boyz have to open the Hex against El Tri on Wednesday in front of 100,000 partisan fans at Estadio Azteca. Poor Reggae Boyz.
