They're also not playing with two obvious pivot midfielders or three obvious central midfielders, so Cesc Fabregas isn't a lock to play as the "false nine". He looks more likely to play in the midfield, based on this selection. Juan Mata, Pedro or Santi Cazorla look like they're getting a run in the role. Carles Puyol returns to the team, alongside Sergio Ramos, and Victor Valdes starts in goal in the absence of Iker Casillas.
