90 minutes wasn't enough for Burkina Faso and Ghana to decide who would book a spot in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final against Nigeria. So we'll head to extra time and if necessary, penalties.
Burkina Faso vs. Ghana: 1-1, heading to extra time
Ghana went ahead in the 12th minute after being gifted a penalty by referee Slim Jdidi. Saidou Panandetiguiri “fouled” Christian Atsu on the right side of the Burkina Faso box, making some contact with his arm across Atsu’s chest. The Ghanaian midfielder made the most of it and the referee pointed the spot. Mubarak Wakaso stepped up and beat Daouda Diakite to put Ghana up 1-0.
Burkina Faso equalized in the 59th minute after Florent Rouamba went shoulder to shoulder with Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu in the midfield, knocking him off the ball. Charles Kaboré picked up the lose ball and found Bancé and his amazing hair at the top of the box. The striker took his time and placed the ball inside the far post.
Ghana's Asamoah Gyan missed two glorious chances during regular time to put the game away for his side.
