Mauricio Pochettino hasn't won yet since abruptly taking over for Nigel Owens, but that doesn't mean his tenure has been a failure so far. Despite a loss to Manchester United, Soton have drawn Everton and Wigan, which isn't too shabby for a team many still expect to be relegated. This week's game against City will be another tough test and any points will be a bonus honestly.
Southampton vs. Manchester City: Preview and TV schedule
Southampton have been solid since Mauricio Pochettino took over and would love to take points off a Manchester City team that is quickly falling behind their league leading city rivals.

Manchester City are floundering after two straight draws that have allowed United to extend their lead atop the table to nine points. Roberto Mancini may think catching their rivals will be "easy" but it's going to be extremely hard if they don't start winning their matches.
Both the Toure brothers return from the African Cup of Nations and should be in the mix for this match.

Manchester City injuries and suspensions
Out: Micah Richards (knee). In Doubt: Vincent Kompany (groin).
Southampton's Guly Do Prado and José Fonte are both recovering from knee injuries and are out. Clyne and Shaw are both expected back after missing international duty with minor knocks while Gaston Ramirez should make the bench after a leg injury kept him out of international duty. Vincent Kompany's recover is ahead of schedule and he has an outside chance of at least making the bench.
