Going in to today’s match, Michu hadn’t scored in six matches. Unfortunately for Queen Park Rangers, he really likes scoring against them. The Spanish striker scored twice, giving him four against QPR this season, as the Swans rolled to a 4-1 victory. QPR remains at the bottom of the league as things continue to go from bad to worse for Harry Redknapp.

Swansea’s Spanish striker broke his six-match scoreless streak with two against QPR as the Swans rolled to 4-1 victory
In the 8th minute Nathan Dyer took a shot from 25+ yards out that Julio Cesar was able to block. Of course when you leave a humongous rebound right in the middle of the box where Michu is lurking, bad things happen. The Spanish striker jumped on the chance, getting his foot on the ball and Cesar desperately dived forward, managing to get an ugly looking chip over the keeper and in to the net. No points for style but it put Swansea deservedly ahead 1-0.
Swansea were back in the 19th minute and again a rebound was involved. Angel Rangel caught Jaime Mackie ball watching on the right side and blew past him in to the QPR box. Rangel's initial shot was blocked by Cesar but again he left a rebound that Rangel hammered in to the net, making in 2-0.
Things weren't all great for Swansea in the first half though. In the 30th minute, QPR's Stéphane M'Bia clattered in to Chico Flores, sending the defender down in considerable pain. After several minutes on the ground, Chico was strechered off the pitch and replaced by Kyle Bartley.
Redknapp’s double halftime switch paid immediate dividends for QPR.
In the 48th minute, Adel Taarabt intercepted a poor ball from Ben Davies and raced down the right side before putting a shot in on goal. Michel Vorm made the save but like his counterpart in the first half, he left a massive rebound that Bobby Zamora gladly put in the back on the net to pull QPR back to a goal down.
QPR were back in the match...for all of two minutes.
Michu started the play with a ridiculous reversal just outside the QPR box, sending the ball quickly out left to Pablo Hernández. Pablo danced his way towards the end line, getting around Armand Traore, before sending what was supposed to be a cross that managed to slip past a second defender and Cesar before ending up in the net, making it 3-1.
QPR were raging in the 58th minute after it appeared Swansea defender Ashley Williams committed a handball in the box. Referee Neil Swarbrick didn't agree but replays showed it was a clear foul and QPR were denied a penalty.
Michu got his second of the match (and his fourth against QPR this season) in the 68th minute, receiving a lovely low ling ball from Pablo while turning Christopher Samba around in circles. Michu placed his shot inside the far post as Cesar made a desperate dive towards the near post and it was 4-1 to the Swans.
Michu's hopes of getting his first hat trick in the EPL ended in the 80th minute when he appeared to pick-up minor knock and was replaced by Luke Moore.
