Fulham and Norwich City entered the day just outside of the relegation battle, but a long way from any kind of Europa League battle. The very evenly-matched sides walked away from their Saturday match in the same positions, following a very dull 0-0 draw.
Fulham vs. Norwich City: Final score 0-0, both teams get what they want
An incredibly dull match broke out at Carrow Road, where Fulham and Norwich City failed to find the back of the net.
It became obvious early in the second half that nothing but a 35-yard wonder strike or a defender slipping on a banana peel was going to produce a goal in the match. Both teams defended well and were reluctant to commit men forward, content with a draw.
Dimitar Berbatov picked up a cut on his face in the opening minutes after taking an elbow from Bradley Johnson. He had to leave the pitch to get cleaned up, but returned after a couple of minutes. This was, arguably, the most exciting thing that happened at Carrow Road on the afternoon. Neither team ever really looked like scoring despite the decent amount of talent on display at the striker position.
