Alejandro Sabella's latest Argentina roster features a lot of familiar faces and one new guy in the form of Monterrey defender Jose-Maria Basanta is a surprise inclusion among the usual cast of stars.

Basanta will get a chance to earn his first cap for the Albiceleste after Newcastle defender Fabricio Coloccini was ruled out until May with a back injury.

All the usual suspects made the squad including Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, Sergio Aguero and Ezequiel Lavezzi. Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria was also included but will serve a suspension in the first match against Venezuela. Fernando Gago is out with a injury and will be replaced by Valencia's Ever Banega.

Argentina are leading CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying with 20 points from nine games, three points clear of second place Ecuador. They will face Venezuela on March 22nd at home before traveling to Bolivia on March 26th.

Here is the full Albiceleste squad:

Midfielders: Ever Banega, Augusto Fernandez, Pablo Guinazu, Angel Di Maria, Javier Mascherano, Walter Montillo, Jose Sosa
