Everton vs. Manchester City: Preview and TV Schedule

Everton and Manchester City both need wins to keep their respective Champions League and Premier League hopes alive. Something’s going to give.

Clive Brunskill

Manchester City face a difficult battle to keep their slim title hopes alive as they travel to Goodison Park in Saturday's early kick-off.

The Toffees are coming into the game off the back of a foul-tempered 3-0 defeat to Wigan, which could lead them to anger or misery in response, and will be without Tim Howard and Phil Jagielka for the game - although the Citizens have injury problems themselves, with Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero still missing.

Everton are still an outside bet for fourth place, so both sides will be desperate for a victory and indeed will likely require one to satisfy their mutual goals. Key Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini was booed off in his last outing, so it will be intriguing to see his approach to the game. Combined with the fact it could be the last time these two managers lead their respective clubs out in this fixture, it could be a feisty one.
