Paris Saint-Germain vs. Barcelona, 2013 UEFA Champions League: PSG have Barca under pressure

Paris Saint-Germain continued to be the more dangerous and aggressive side as the match reached the 30 minute mark. Ezequiel Lavezzi has been especially dangerous on the right wing giving Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets fits on a couple occasions.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic earned both a dangerous free kick for PSG and a yellow card against Gerard Piqué in the 18th minute as Barca struggled with a long ball over the top to the big striker. Zlatan’s vicious free kick attempt was parried away by Victor Valdés for a corner, which was cleared away from danger.

Barcelona's attack has been kept under wraps for the most part by som excellent defending from PSG, including Thiago Silva who made an excellent tackle to deny Lionel Messi in the 22nd minute with a perfectly timed tackle.

In the 26th minute Lucas Moura showed off his ridiculous speed, leading a lighting quick breakaway counter by PSG and finding Zlatan well positioned at the near post. The Swedish striker’s shot looked on target but rolled just wide of the post.
