Borussia Dortmund vs. Real Madrid: Lewandowski gets a fourth goal...seriously.
Can you believe what is happening in Dortmund? Robert Lewandowski has finished off a penalty and given BVB a shocking 4-1 lead over Real Madrid with 20 minutes left to play.
Just an amazing performance so far from Dortmund against a very strong Real Madrid side. The usual crisp passing and pinpoint deliveries you see from Los Merengues just aren’t there and the Dortmund defenders seems to be in the right place whenever called upon.
A bit of a strange moment in the 64th minute after Mesut Özil was brought down in the midfield and awarded a free kick. As the referee went to his pocket it seemed that the Dortmund player involved was going to see yellow. instead Òzil was booked for gesturing for a card after the foul.
Things continued to go all to pieces for Madrid in the 65th after Xabi Alonso clattered into Marco Reus from behind and Dortmund were given a penalty. No question at all about this one.
Who else but Robert Lewandowski stepped up to the spot and the Polish international absolutely smashed the ball into the top of the net past Diego Lopez for his fourth goal of the match.
What a performance. What a shocking turn of events in Germany. Nobody in their right mind could have predicted this!
I’m stunned y’all.
