Bayern Munich are strong favourites to qualify for the Champions League final after they delivered an immense performance to demolish Barcelona 4-0 in the first leg. Whether or not that game marked the shifting of European balance of power remains to be seen, though it'll take an awful lot from Barça for them to come back from this deficit.
They need to score at least four goals if they’re to have a chance of winning the game, and need to net five times without reply of they’re to progress without extra time. Bearing in mind the Bavarians have only conceded 14 times all season in the Bundesliga, Barça’s task is an extremely unenviable one.
The Spaniards struggled to create any chances at the Allianz Arena, and it's telling that no side in Champions League history has ever overturned a four goal deficit in the knockout stages. If the Bayern midfield pairing of Javi Martínez and Bastian Schweinsteiger deliver as dominating a performance as they did in Munich, they should comfortably progress.
