Borussia Dortmund want Kevin De Bruyne, Christian Erksen, or Christian Benteke to replace Mario Götze

With Mario Götze on his way to Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund are looking for a replacement. They have a few players in mind.

Many have been wondering what Borussia Dortmund have planned in order to replace the departing Mario Götze at the end of the season. Reports out of Germany are suggesting that BVB have found their man. He is the Belgian Kevin De Bruyne.

According to Bild and WAZ, BVB and De Bruyne have already reached a contract that will keep him in Dortmund through 2018. The only thing that remains for the deal to get completed is for BVB and Chelsea to agree on a transfer fee for the player. Bild suggests it would be around €15 million.

Michael Zorc, BVB's sporting director, was in England over the weekend where he watched Chelsea face Aston Villa. It is believed that Zorc was there to discuss the De Bruyne deal with Chelsea officials AND get a view of another transfer target: Aston Villa's Christian Benteke. If Robert Lewandowski also potentially leaving this summer, a player like Benteke up top would be great for BVB in their attempt to replace the Polish star.

BVB are also considering a move for Ajax star midfielder Christian Eriksen. The 21 year old midfielder has been in stellar form for the Dutch club this season and has 13 goals and 23 assists to his name. He’s being sought after by clubs all over the continent, and with only one year left on his contract, it would be beyond shocking if he remained in the Eredivisie past this summer.
