Barcelona have just won the annual "kit nerd" competition -- at least in my opinion -- with the release of their 2013/14 jerseys. The new home jersey is nice, returning to the traditional blue and red stripes, but it's the away kit that really shines.
Barcelona’s new away jerseys just destroyed all other away jerseys
Barcelona unveiled their new jerseys for the 2013/14 season and while their home shirt is back to a traditional look, their new away kit is the best the club has had in years.

The club has released a fancy video showing off the new shirts for you to enjoy, so you definitely should.
In case your reaction is just, “yellow and red stripes...what’s so great about that?” Allow me to explain.
The new away shirt is basically the flag of Catalonia, the region within Spain in which the city of Barcelona is located. Catalonia has a fierce independence streak and the Catalan government intends to vote on a independence referendum in 2014 as they continue to attempt to move toward full separation from the Spanish government.
FC Barcelona and it’s fans have long been intertwined with the movement and while I’m hardly the person to explain all the political details and implications, let’s just say it’s a big deal for the club to go with these away jerseys. Not only do they look great, there are some definite political elements to the shirt as well.
