Premier League midweek preview: Big games at both ends of the table
There are three midweek Premier League fixtures to look forward to, affecting both the chase for the Champions League and the scrap for survival.

Despite only managing a goalless draw against Swansea City on Saturday, Manchester City look almost certain to wrap up second place. They have a four-point buffer over Chelsea -- who don't play until Wednesday -- and host a mid-table West Brom side that lost 3-2 at home to Wigan on the weekend. City have maintained their impressive home record, with only rivals United beating them at the Etihad this season. It's difficult to see the Baggies taking anything back to the Midlands.
Wigan Athletic vs. Swansea City
Depending on Sunderland's result at home to Stoke on Monday night, this could provide a chance for Wigan to move outside of the relegation zone. They've not lost in their last couple of games, and picked up a crucial three points away at West Brom on Saturday. Their late season charge is building momentum, and they've a two-point deficit to close down if they're to move out of the bottom three. Swansea are still in their post-Capital One Cup hangover, and haven't won in their last seven.
Wednesday, 2:45 p.m. ET, 7:45 p.m. BST:
Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur
The most mouthwatering of the trio of midweek matches is at Stamford Bridge, as two teams fighting for the top four face off. Currently outside the Champions League places in fifth, a win would lift Spurs above Arsenal and into fourth. Chelsea are third at the moment, but a loss would mean they were level on points with Spurs, and a single point above Arsenal. It's all very tight near the top, and both of these sides are on five match unbeaten streaks.
