Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm was taken off on a stretcher in the second half of his team's 3-2 victory over Wigan Athletic on Tuesday, but his injury doesn't seem to be nearly as bad as it looks. Time will tell whether or not Vorm has any head or neck issues that will cause him to miss time, but his injury -- if he has one -- is mild enough that he was up and walking around in the locker room after the game.

The injury looked like a very serious one when it first occurred. In the 85th minute, Vorm had a clash with Ben Davies and wasn't moving initially when he hit the ground. The medical staff took every precaution, taking their time with getting Vorm into a neck brace and onto a stretcher. It took so long to get him off the pitch that the referee added nine minutes of extra time, but Vorm appeared to be conscious and moving when he was taken off the pitch.
Thankfully, those measured turned out to be purely precautionary.
