The United States are off to a fantastic start against Panama thanks to Jozy Altidore and a couple of the midfielders behind him. Following a Panama giveaway, the USMNT took off on a fast counter attack down the left and set up an easy finish for Altidore at the back post.
USA vs. Panama: Jozy Altidore makes it 1-0
Michael Bradley started the meat of the move with a run forward down the middle and a lead pass down the left flank for an onrushing Fabian Johnson. The United States left midfielder hit an early cross from a deep spot to the back post where Altidore was waiting after making the perfect run.
Altidore struggled in the first game of this summer camp for the United States against Belgium, but he's been great in their last three. He's scored in three consecutive games, netting goals against Germany, Jamaica and now Panama. This marks the first time in his USMNT career that Altidore has scored in three straight games.
