A statement on the Fiorentina website announced that they had “reached an agreement on terms for the transfer of Joaquín Sánchez Rodríguez”, though the move was “subject to the player signing a contract.” Assuming it goes through, it’s an intriguing signing from the viola, who are stockpiling attackers at an impressive rate.
Fiorentina agree fee with Málaga for Joaquín
Fiorentina have announced that they have agreed a fee with Málaga to bring winger Joaquín to the Artemio Franchi.

Joaquín -- a former Spanish international -- is primarily a right-winger, and it'll be interesting to see how Fiorentina try to squeeze him into the team. Juan Cuadrado occupied a position on the right excellently last season, and his loan deal from Udinese will likely be made permanent.
That means a starting position for Joaquín is far from assured, and he'll have to seriously impress if he's to displace the Colombian. However, he'll definitely be a handy option for Vincenzo Montella, providing bags of experience and quality.
His arrival comes with Fiorentina looking to compensate for the impending exit of striker Stevan Jovetić. Providing they manage to hang on to Adem Ljajić and can nurse Giuseppe Rossi back to full fitness, they could be left with the best attack in the league by the end of the summer -- especially if the Mario Gómez rumours are to materialise.
