There's not really any reason to treat this like the other matches in this competition because the result was never really in doubt, but Tahiti are losing. That stinks, but it was to be expected. It stinks more that they haven't scored yet. Spain haven't actually given up anything resembling a chance and lead 4-0. Tahiti have one corner.
Spain vs. Tahiti: Halftime score 4-0, and this is going about as expected
Fernando Torres has two goals, while David Villa and David Silva have a goal apiece. For those hoping for a potential upset, or at least a nervy half, that possibility was dashed by Torres' 5th minute goal. Spain should probably have a lot more than four goals, but they probably won't be too bothered.
Cool notes about this game: Tahiti got screwed out of a second corner kick. Fernando Torres has looked Torresy and screwed up chances even though he has two goals. Villa has been worse. The ESPN announcer is screaming ‘GOOOOOOOOOOL’ after Spain goals as if this is an actual soccer game.
