Carlo Ancelotti has been confirmed as the successor to Jose Mourinho at the Santiago Bernabeu. The former Chelsea and AC Milan boss was pried away from Paris Saint-Germain as Real Madrid looked to replace the departing Mourinho, and will be officially announced in a press conference this week.
Real Madrid appoint Carlo Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti will be Jose Mourinho’s replacement at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ancelotti will serve as a stabilizing influence on a club that found the antics of Mourinho a bit too much to handle. He's had plenty of success wherever he's gone -- his last two stops have both yielded a league championship, and with a team like Madrid's he should be able to challenge Barcelona for the La Liga crown. He's also been hugely successful in Europe, winning two Champions League titles with Milan.
The process of appointing Ancelotti was delayed as PSG hunted for a new manager. Former France boss Laurent Blanc will take over at the Parc des Princes, looking to build on the solid foundation that Ancelotti laid down in his 18 months in charge of the Parisian club.
