The best way to soothe the pains of losing your star striker is to go out and find a quality replacement as quickly as possible. Atletico Madrid did just that, announcing the signing of Brazilian striker Léo Baptistão from Rayo Vallecano on Monday.
Léo Baptistão signs with Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid wasted little time finding a potential replacement for Radamel Falcao, announcing the signing of Léo Baptistão from Rayo Vallecano.

The 20-year-old striker came up through the Rayo system and has been with the club since 2008. He made his breakthrough with the senior side this season making 28 appearances with seven goals.
According to the club’s official website Baptistão has signed a five year contract but did not release any of the financial details of the deal.
There has been reports around Spain that the two clubs worked out this deal at the end of 2012 but they decided to keep it quiet until the conclusion of the season. The transfer fee is believed to be somewhere in the vicinity of €6 million but there has been no official confirmation of that number.
