The United States face the first of three qualifiers that could give them the chance to secure their footing a bit and put one foot into next summer’s World Cup.
Jamaica vs. USA, 2014 World Cup qualifying: Preview and TV schedule
The US will be out to get a better result than their last trip to Kingston as they face Jamaica in their first of three qualifiers over the next two weeks.

First up is a trip to Jamaica and the always difficult environment of Independence Park in Kingston. The last time these two teams met in Kingston -- in the previous round of qualifying -- the Reggae Boyz pulled off a 2-1 upset of the US with goals from Rodolph Austin and Luton Shelton.
The USA are coming off a mixed bag of results from their last two friendlies with a bad loss against Belgium and a solid win over Germany. Jamaica sit last in the CONCACAF hexagonal and are coming off a frustrating 1-0 home qualifying loss against Mexico.
