We're underway from Jamaica, where the United States are looking to avenge their September defeat against the Reggae Boyz. Jamaica is currently in last place in CONCACAF qualifying after Friday's loss to Mexico and is seriously in need of some points. The U.S. is currently in the top three and has two home games coming up, so has some margin for error.
Jamaica vs. USA: Game underway
Keep an eye on the Americans' left flank against the Jamaicans' right. Jamaica is starting an 18-year-old at right back, while the U.S. lineup is unorthodox. They're unchanged from their friendly win against Germany, but they started regular left back Fabian Johnson at left midfield, in front of left back DaMarcus Beasley, a natural winger.
In September, the biggest difference between the two teams was in the center of midfield, where the U.S. was badly outworked. Jürgen Klinsmann brought his team to Jamaica early to get acclimated to the climate, so they won’t have any excuse for not being prepared for the weather.
