A statement on the Juventus website announced that Angelo Ogbonna has signed a five-year contract with the bianconeri, after making over a century of appearances for their rivals Torino. Juve confirmed the deal cost them €13 million, potentially rising by a further €2 million.
Juventus complete signing of Angelo Ogbonna
Defender Angelo Ogbonna has hopped from one side of Turin to the other, joining Juventus from Torino.

Ogbonna -- who has been capped five times by the Italian national team -- has long been seen as one of the azzurri’s hottest young prospects, excelling at centre-back despite his relative inexperience. However, there is a certain element of risk in Juventus’ signing. Ogbonna made only 22 Serie A appearances last season after struggling with injuries, and, at 25, can no longer blame youth for defensive lapses.
But, providing he can get back to his excellent best, Ogbonna could represent a great long-term signing for the bianconeri. With the veteran of the Juventus defensive trio Andrea Barzagli now 32, Ogbonna could go on to cement a starting spot for years to come. As for now, though, it's likely he'll be a backup first and foremost.
