While Real Madrid used the team website to announce the news with a brief “official communication”...very fancy.
The Real Madrid player announced that Gonzalo Higuain has been transferred to Naples. The club wishes to thank all these years of dedication and professionalism, and wish him luck in his new career.
Higuain joined Madrid back in 2007 from River Plate for €12 million and leaves six years later for a reported €37 million -- quite the tidy profit -- having made 187 appearances and scoring 107 goals for Los Blancos. The 25-year-old Argentinian striker will now have to fill the sizable boots left empty in Naples by the departure of Edinson Cavani to PSG.
