It's not all a week of mayhem for Tottenham Hotspur. After seeing their deal to buy Vlad Chiriches from Steaua Bucharest fall through thanks to the zany antics of Gigi Becali, Spurs fans finally have some good news: The club has announced a deal with Valencia to bring Roberto Soldado to White Hart Lane.
Tottenham Hotspur agree Roberto Soldado deal

The terms of the transfer are undisclosed, and Soldado will still need to pass a medical and agree personal terms with Tottenham, but barring a hidden injury, this deal is all but a formality. Tottenham finally have the striker they’ve been craving for so long, even if they’re having to pay a hefty price -- rumours have the sale price at close to £25 million.
Not that money will be much of an issue if the proposed deal with Real Madrid for Gareth Bale actually goes through, of course. Compared to that transfer, this is something of an afterthought, though it shouldn't be. Soldado's scored 81 times in 141 appearances with Los Che, and he'll be a huge help for Spurs' front line.
