The United States had a poor first half against Bosnia and Herzegovina, going down 2-0, but they completely turned things around. Jozy Altidore recorded a hat trick and an assist in the second half of the USMNT’s 4-3 win.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY SportsThe first half was nothing memorable for the United Stats, twice being punished for giveaways and poor defending as Bosnia opened up a 2-0 lead at the break.
In the 30th minute, Vedad Ibisevic got away from his marker after the initial clearance of a Bosnia corner and headed a follow-up cross past Howard to extend the lead to 2-0. Ibisevic appeared to be offside on the play, but there was no call from the linesman.

Joern PollexBosnia put the USA on it’s heels from the opening whistle and while the U.S. squad earned a couple counter-attack chances, Edin Dzeko did not waste his first opportunity in the eighth minute.
The U.S. garnered a penalty shot in the 18th minute after Mix Diskerud appeared to go down after some contact, but it was hardly a clear-cut call and the referee wasn’t interested.
