Swansea City vs. Manchester United: Lineups

The defending champions are starting their season at the Liberty Stadium, and despite Sir Alex Ferguson's absence not much has changed for Manchester United. Wayne Rooney is still out of favour. They still would probably be ok with swapping midfields with their opponents. And they're still probably going to win anyway because they're Manchester United and that's what they do.

Swansea City, meanwhile, feature a pair of new additions to their centre -- Jonjo Shelvey's been brought in from Liverpool and Jose Canas will be holding alongside Leon Britton. It's hardly the ideal fixture with which to start the season, but on paper this looks a fair fight.

Swansea City starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Michel Vorm; Ben Davies, Ashley Williams, Chico Flores, Angel Rangel; Leon Britton, Jose Canas; Wayne Routledge, Jonjo Shelvey, Nathan Dyer; Michu.

Manchester United starting lineup (4-3-3): David de Gea; Patrice Evra, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Phil Jones; Ryan Giggs, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley; Danny Welbeck, Robin van Persie, Antonio Valencia.
