Struggling Chivas de Guadalajara have parted ways with head coach Benjamin Galindo following a string of disappointing results. Five games into the season, Chivas sit fourth from bottom in the table with just four points, and a 2-4 home defeat to mid-table Puebla was apparently the final straw, with club chairman Dennis te Kloese making an announcement following the match:
Chivas de Guadalajara fire Benjamin Galindo
The managerial instability at Chivas continues. Following a terrible home result that took the Goats down to 15th in the table, Benjamin Galindo was sacked.

Sorry for taking so long and thanks for your patience. The result has been very negative today here at home to all the people who want to see the team do well. It’s a difficult time, and we have decided that Benjamin [Galindo] will no longer coach Chivas. Tomorrow we will give more information about who will be the new coach.
Galindo’s a good coach, but he’s an easy scapegoat for this current wreck of a side. Whomever the next coach might be -- and seeing as this is Chivas it’s difficult to pin down a favourite at the moment -- they’re likely going to find themselves in a lot of trouble. So it goes with this club.
