Manchester City will be without their captain for the trip to Cardiff City, but they've still got some quality in defence in the form of Matija Nastasic. New manager Mauricio Pellegrini has opted not to risk him as he returns from injury, however, going instead with former Benficia midfielder Javi Garcia to fill Vincent Kompany's spot in the visitors' back line. The opening day victory against Newcastle (not to mention the long career in La Liga) implies that Pellegrini knows what he's doing, though, so we'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
