The injury bug continues to bite Arsenal. The Gunners how now lost Lukas Podolski for an extended period following the German forward injuring himself during the Champions League play-off against Fenerbahce on Tuesday -- a match that had essentially no meaning after the 3-0 first leg win in Istanbul. Podolski left the pitch just after halftime, and following the match Arsene Wenger confirmed that he'd miss at least three weeks:
Arsenal lose Lukas Podolski to hamstring injury

Wenger: "Podolski is definitely out for 21 days [with a hamstring injury]" #AFCvFEN

This is just about the last thing Arsenal needed, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also out for months, although they'll be able to bring in reinforcements with the transfer window open until next Monday. And despite the opening-day loss to Aston Villa, the Gunners have looked far better than the 'team in crisis' narrative might have you believe. Things aren't all bad at the Emirates.
Then again, they’re not all good either.
