Napoli vs. Borussia Dortmund: Preview and TV schedule

Napoli hosts last season’s Champions League runner-up Dortmund in what should be the most exciting match of the week.

Lars Baron

Line up all the opening matches from this week in the Champions League and there's no doubt Borussia Dortmund's trip to Napoli wins as the sexiest match-up. These two highly-skilled attacking sides should put on a great show on Wednesday at the San Paolo.

With my luck, they’ll play to a scoreless draw ... but let’s hope not.

Dortmund have been scoring goals like it's going out of style in the Bundesliga, including an impressive 6-2 thumping of Hamburg in which both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Robert Lewandowski had braces. Napoli held their place at the top of Serie A with their win over Atalanta.

Napoli are healthy, but Dortmund will be without Łukasz Piszczek and İlkay Gündoğan. Sebastian Kehl also picked up a foot injury in training that will keep him out for nearly two months.
