As if Tuesday's home loss against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League wasn't bad enough, now Real Sociedad have to deal with the loss of midfielder Esteban Granero. The on-loan playmaker faces at least six months out after damaging the ACL in his right knee during the 2-0 defeat.
Esteban Granero out six months with ruptured ACL in right knee
On the heels of a disappointing loss in the Champions League, La Real have received more bad news, as Esteban Granero will miss at least six months with a knee injury.

La Real released a statement on their website Wednesday, announcing the injury and explaining a few particulars about the plan going forward for Granero’s recovery.
Granero underwent an MRI on Wednesday morning and discovered a ruptured ACL and damage to the meniscus in his right knee, according to the club’s release. He now faces surgery and rehab that very well could keep him out the better part of the 2013-14 season.
The 26-year-old midfielder is on loan form Queens Park Rangers.
