Leighton Baines looks increasingly likely to stay with Everton rather than following former manager David Moyes to Manchester United. The defending champions, cognizant of the declining powers of current left back Patrice Evra, have been attempting to pry the Toffees star away all summer.
Everton continue to rebuff Manchester United over Leighton Baines
Despite heavy interest from Manchester United, Leighton Baines looks highly unlikely to leave Goodison Park this summer.

Despite tabling a 15 million bid for the 28-year-old, it looks as though they’ll be rebuffed in their pursuit -- Bill Kenwright has no intention of selling Baines, and has made sure everyone knows it.
United will probably be luckier in their chase for Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini. Everton have been linked to midfielders for awhile and, if they can pick up James McCarthy from Wigan Athletic -- which is looking increasingly likely -- that paves the way for Fellaini to move to Old Trafford. If United can land both Fellaini and Ander Herrera before the window closes, they're suddenly looking far more solid.
