Arsenal were already doing okay on the attacking midfield front until they made an ambitious play to sign Mesut Özil, who looks to be on his way to the Emirates. Apparently, Arsene Wenger would like yet another attacking midfielder. Or maybe he's just taking the opportunity to look at quality when he can get it? Anyway, Sam Cunningham of the Daily Mail says that Arsenal are interested in Javier Pastore of Paris Saint-Germain.
Javier Pastore a target for Arsenal?
This one is a bit out there. The Mail thinks Arsenal are in for Javier Pastore.

‘I understand that Arsenal have made an enquiry about an ambitious move for PSG’s Javier Pastore. The Argentinian joined the French club for a huge £33.7million in 2011 but has fallen out of favour recently and is yet to score this season. It is believed that other English clubs have made contact about his availability, but the striker would like to stay in France.’
Pastore isn’t a striker, but we’ll ignore that bit.
This only really makes sense if PSG buy some kind of replacement for Pastore, as out of form as he is. They've been linked to Juan Mata, but it's hard to believe that Chelsea are going to sell him. There's also the bit in Cunningham's report about Pastore preferring to stay in France. Basically, this doesn't add up in any way whatsoever.
