Manchester City vs. Manchester United: Lineups don’t include Robin van Persie

Manchester United forward Robin van Persie is apparently not fit to start the Manchester Derby.

The big news ahead of Sunday's massive Manchester Derby is that Manchester United forward Robin van Persie will not be playing in the match due to injury. His spot in the starting lineup is occupied by Danny Welbeck, who looks set to play up top ahead of Wayne Rooney. Ashley Young has been picked ahead of Shinji Kagawa on the left, but the rest of the team features no surprises.

City are also just about as expected. David Silva is not fit to start, so Samir Nasri remains in the lineup. Alvaro Negredo has been picked ahead of Edin Dzeko up top.

Manchester City lineup (4-4-2): Joe Hart; Aleksandar Kolarov, Vincent Kompany, Matija Nastasic, Pablo Zabaleta; Samir Nasri, Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, Jesus Navas; Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo

Manchester United lineup (4-2-3-1): David De Gea; Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Chris Smalling; Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick; Ashley Young, Wayne Rooney, Antonio Valencia; Danny Welbeck
