The Bundesliga returns to action this weekend after the midweek Pokal matches. Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Bayer Leverkusen will all be hosting matches this weekend.
Bundesliga, Week 7: Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen are all at home this weekend
The top sides are all at home this weekend in the Week 7 in the Bundesliga.

Friday, September 27
Augsburg vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach
The Friday match this weekend is Borussia Mönchengladbach visiting Augsburg. They may be level on points, but Lucien Favre’s side holds a +7 goal differential over Augsburg. They put together an impressive victory last weekend over a poor Eintracht Braunschweig and should make light work of Augsburg on Friday.
Time & Location: 20:30 Local / 2:30 PM Eastern; SGL Arena, Augsburg
Prediction: Augsburg 0 - 2 Borussia Mönchengladbach
Saturday, September 28
Borussia Dortmund vs. Freiburg
It’s been a tough week for Borussia Dortmund, but they’ve come through it still on top in the Bundesliga and are moving onto the third round of the DFB Pokal. Freiburg haven’t been good so far this season, and BVB should make light work of them.
Time & Location: 15:30 Local / 9:30 AM Eastern; Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund
Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 3 - 1 Freiburg
Bayern Munich vs. Wolfsburg
The champions are starting to look like they're really coming together under Pep Guardiola. The real test will begin once Mario Götze, Thiago Alcantara and Javi Martinez are back to full fitness. They beat Schalke last weekend 4-0 and beat Hannover 4-1 midweek in the Pokal. Bayern are on a roll right now. Wolfsburg are on nine points thus far and are playing decent, but inconsistent, football. It's going to be very tough for them to walk out of Munich with any points.
Time & Location: 15:30 Local / 9:30 AM Eastern; Allianz Arena, Munich
Prediction: Bayern Munich 2 - 0 Wolfsburg
Bayer Leverkusen vs. Hannover
With Bayern and BVB likely walking away from their games with victories this weekend, Bayer Leverkusen need a good performance against Hannover to keep right with the top two. Stefan Kießling, Sidney Sam, and Heung Min Son are putting together a fearsome attacking trio and are making the rest of the league take notice.
Time & Location: 15:30 Local / 9:30 AM Eastern; BayArena, Leverkusen
Prediction: Bayer Leverkusen 2 - 1 Hannover
Hoffenheim vs. Schalke
Last weekend was awful for Schalke, but I firmly believe that they’re back on the right track. They’re too talented to not beat Hoffenheim on the day.
Time & Location: 15:30 Local / 9:30 AM Eastern; Rhein Neckar Arena, Sinsheim
Prediction: Hoffenheim 1 - 2 Schalke
Hertha Berlin vs. Mainz
Mainz have lost three in a row after opening the season with three straight wins. This weekend they'll get back on the winning track thanks to Nicolai Müller and Shinji Okazaki.
Time & Location: 15:30 Local / 9:30 AM Eastern; Olympic Stadium, Berlin
Prediction: Hertha Berlin 1 - 2 Mainz
Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Hamburg
If you’re looking for a Bundesliga side to start supporting, why not Frankfurt? They’re fun to watch, and they should start to put together a good run of form here soon. Expect to see them further up the table as we move closer to the winter break.
Time & Location: 18:30 Local / 12:30 PM Eastern; Commerzbank Arena, Frankfurt
Prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt 2 - 1 Hamburg
Sunday, September 22
Werder Bremen vs. Nürnberg
Werder Bremen aren’t a very good team, yet they’re sitting on nine points. It really shows that I don’t know a lot. Nürnberg don’t score many goals, but they don’t concede many either. The match likely won’t see a lot of goals.
Time & Location: 15:30 Local / 9:30 AM Eastern; Weserstadion, Bremen
Prediction: Werder Bremen 0 - 1 Nürnberg
Eintracht Braunschweig vs. Stuttgart
I can’t pick Braunschweig to win a game, but it’s actually possible that they’ll shocked me one day. Thomas Schneider’s side will pull out the victory on the day, and they will be led by Vedad Ibisevic, of course.
Time & Location: 17:30 Local / 11:30 AM Eastern; Eintracht Stadion, Braunschweig
Prediction: Eintracht Braunschweig 1 - 3 Stuttgart
