Galatasaray have announced in a statement that former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini will fill the vacant managerial position. He joins on a three-year contract, replacing Fatih Terim who was sacked earlier this month.
Roberto Mancini appointed Galatasaray manager
Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has been appointed as new manager of Galatasaray.

It is Mancini's first job since he parted company with City at the end of last season, and puts to rest rumours that he will replace Cesare Prandelli as coach of the Italian national team at the end of next year's World Cup in Brazil. It is Mancini's fifth job in football and first outside one of Europe's major leagues, having had spells at Fiorentina, Lazio and Inter Milan before he joined City in 2009.
With Gala having won the last two Turkish Süper Lig titles and boasting the likes of Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder in their ranks, Mancini will be expected to turn his team's fortunes. They've won only one of their opening five games this season, and are currently eight points in arrears of league leaders and Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe.
