Unless Spain suffer an epic meltdown, they look good to finish in the top two of Group I of UEFA qualifying for the 2014 World Cup. That won't be good enough for La Roja, though as second place means an extra playoff game with a trip to Brazil on the line.
Finland vs. Spain, 2014 World Cup qualifying: Preview and TV schedule
Spain will look to stay ahead of France atop Group I as they look to avoid a having to deal with a playoff game to book their spot in the World Cup.
Spain currently holds a one point advantage over France and know that they simply must match or better France's results in the final three qualifiers to ensure they'll finish first in the group.
Sergio Busquets will not be available for Spain after injuring his thigh in Barcelona's 3-2 win over Valencia last week. With Xabi Alonso, Thiago Alcantara and Javi Martinez also out due to injuries, Vicente Del Bosque has called in Javi Garcia and Nacho Fernandez as deep midfield options.
Finland will be buoyed by their draw against Spain in Madrid back in March and have slim hopes of injecting themselves back into the race for qualification with a win.
Match Date/Time: 9:30 p.m. local, 2:30 p.m. ET
Venue: Helsinki Olympic Stadium, Helsinki, Finland
TV: ESPN Deportes (U.S.)
