The much rumored hiring of Clarence Seedorf as AC Milan's new head coach is now complete. The club has made the appointment official following a series of reports that included Seedorf himself saying he was set to become the new head coach.

The 37-year-old former Dutch international spent 10 years with Milan as a player, making 300 appearances. Now he’s tasked with rebuilding the proud club.

Despite Seedorf’s long and successful playing career, the fact remains he’s never held a head coaching position at any level.
Seedorf's playing career spanned 21 seasons and included stops at Ajax, Sampdoria, Real Madrid, Inter, Milan and most recently Botofogo. He played in 625 matches, scoring 109 goals during his club career. Seedorf also starred for the Dutch national team, making 87 appearances over 14 years.
Milan fired Massimillano Allegri on Monday after Milan blew an early two-goal lead and lost 4-3 to promoted side Sassuolo over the weekend.
