Shane Long completes move to Hull City

Hull City have further strengthened their attack with the signing of West Brom striker Shane Long.

Credit to Hull City: they're certainly not messing around in this transfer window. Having already strengthened their attack with the capture of Everton forward Nikica Jelavić, they've now brought in West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long on a three-and-a-half year deal.

It's a potentially-excellent signing for the Tigers, who have seriously struggled for goals so far this season. Their top league scorer is winger Robbie Brady with just three goals, while centre-forwards Yannick Sagbo and Danny Graham only have three in 37 appearances between them. Hull's success in adapting to the Premier League this season has been thanks to their defensive robustness more than their offensive prowess.

However, Long will hopefully help them improve their hit rate. He's proven to be a pretty solid striker since joining the Baggies from Reading back in 2011, scoring a total of 19 league goals and establishing himself as a regular in the Irish international set-up. At only 26, he should have something to offer.
