Manchester City vs. Cardiff City: Preview and TV schedule

Manchester City should continue their fantastic run of form at home to Cardiff on Saturday.

Chris Brunskill

Second-placed Manchester City are in exceptional form at the moment, having won all but two of their games in all competitions since November. With City notched up victories in every single one of their Premier League matches at the Etihad, new Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær probably isn't going to find his first victory in charge here.

He had underwhelming start to life as Bluebirds manager, going down 2-0 at home to fellow strugglers West Ham last weekend. Cardiff have now picked up just one point from their last five games, and are occupying a position in the bottom three. It’s certainly nervy times.

Their task is made much harder by the absence of the excellent young midfielder Jordon Mutch, while left-back Andrew Taylor is also sidelined through injury. For the Citizens, Samir Nasri is the most significant absentee, though is joined on the sidelines by Stevan Jovetić and Jack Rodwell.

Manchester City injuries and suspensions

Out: Jordon Mutch (hamstring), Andrew Taylor (ankle). In doubt: None.
